STEM Education – Embedded System Learning
A computer hardware system with a microprocessor that can perform a specific function, either as an independent system or as part of a larger system, is called the embedded system. At the heart of the system is an integrated circuit designed to perform computation for real-time operations.
It is a set of computer software and software that is designed to perform a specific function. Embedded systems can also work as part of a larger system. The systems can be programmable or fixed in function.
The Embedded systems can have no user interface (UI) – like on devices designed to perform a single task – to complex graphical user interfaces (GUIs), such as those found in mobile devices. However, buttons, LEDs (light-emitting diodes), and touchscreen senses can all be used in user interfaces. Some systems also use remote user interfaces.
An Embedded System could be installed in consumer electronics, industrial machines, agricultural and processing industry devices, automobiles, medical equipment, cameras, digital watches, household appliances, aeroplanes, vending machines, and toys, as well as mobile devices.
Why is STEM Education is the Necessity
STEM education creates critical thinkers, next-generation innovators and problem-solvers. India is one of the countries that makes a large number of engineers and scientists. Since that, the need for STEM education has picked up significantly over the last few years.
A strong STEM education generates critical thinkers, problem solvers, and future innovators. Given that India is one of the countries with the highest number of scientists and engineers, STEM growth has speeded up significantly in recent years.
STEM Demand is Increasing
STEM education – There is an increasing demand for STEM jobs and is currently outnumbering the number of STEM graduates. National Science Foundation suggests that 80 per cent of jobs created in the next decade will require some level of science and math knowledge. Yet, despite having top-tier talent, the exam-focused model of education of the past has limited these students’ ability to innovate, problem-solving techniques, and be creative. This is where STEM players step in to fill the void.
A lot of STEM Innovation Going on in India
The education sector is looking beyond hands-on learning, STEM enhancement, and smart classrooms on their smart class platforms, current information and communications technology.
STEM education centers are established in schools in partnership with STEM companies to help them, including tinkering labs for emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.
The government intends to assist educational institutions in upgrading their library infrastructures with more engaging learning assets and management tools and implementing Learning Management Systems, assessment systems, language labs, library management systems, gamification, and other similar initiatives.
New’ entry level’ coding devices are on the market, allowing schools to teach simple coding and bring STEM to life in the classroom.
Blended Education
STEM education from traditional science and math education can be distinguished by the blended learning environment and by showing students how the scientific method can be applied in their day-to-day lives. In addition, it teaches students how-to focuses on real-world problem-solving applications and for their computational thinking. STEM education, as previously stated, begins when students are very young:
• Elementary school — STEM education focuses on introductory level STEM courses and STEM field and occupation awareness. This first step connects all four STEM subjects by providing standards-based structured inquiry-based and real-world problem-based learning. The goal is to attract students’ interest in the courses so that they want to take them, not because they have to. There is also a focus on connecting in-school and after-school STEM learning opportunities.
• Middle school — Courses become more rigorous and challenging at this level. However, the academic requirements and student awareness of STEM fields and occupations are still pursued.
• High school — the curriculum focuses on applying subjects in a challenging and rigorous manner. STEM education courses and pathways and preparation for post-secondary education and employment are now available. In addition, more emphasis is being placed on bridging the gap between in-school and out-of-school STEM opportunities.
STEM Education Global Popularity and Competition:
STEM education is extremely popular in the international education system, especially since STEM graduates are required for 75% of all jobs. As a result, the prestigious universities provide a wide range of courses in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. However, it has been observed that most students do not continue to pursue their interest in science as they grow.
After high school, many students abandon their desire to study science in favour of Commerce and Humanities. Surprisingly, more than half of Science students change their domain after the twelfth grade. This significantly reduces the competition for STEM education applicants at the bachelor’s level.
Furthermore, a sizable proportion of graduates do not wish to supplement their bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree. This reduces competition further, making it easier for master’s applicants to add to their academic profiles and become more employable STEM professionals.
STEM Education in India
India is the world’s second-most populous country with unrivaled talent and culture, which requires the combined support of the government and other educational societies to take advantage of the opportunity and benefits of STEM education. Now, with the Government of India focusing on campaigns such as the ‘Make in India’ Innovation Mission, there is a focus on developing innovation and manufacturing from the ground up. This is the ideal time for India to rise to the occasion and foster a culture of application-based learning and innovation among its schools, students, colleges, and teachers.
STEM Education Training course
Elysium Embedded School’s Microcontroller certification training is provided by Elysium Embedded School, a leading Embedded training institute. Microcontroller programming is available to students who want to start a career in a core field. Experts in the field of microcontrollers provide hands-on training. The microcontroller is used in a wide range of devices, particularly in the industrial sector. The majority of the core companies are looking for a microcontroller expert. The operations take very little time to complete.
The STEM education Training course is added to our Elysium Embedded School for the industry needs. By this STEM Education Training course, the number of placements for the students will increase rapidly.
